Our Home: |
|
|
The care
home (as it is known) is a 3 storied
facility that can occupy 100 children. The
children take the responsibility of the
cleanliness of the facility. They are sent
to the nearby government [public] school,
and are provided with a well balanced diet,
clothing, extra academical care, physical
exercises, necessary medical care and moral
instructions. As of February 2005, we have
77 children.
|
|
|
|
The Reason: |
|
|
Many of
these children, come from broken homes. In
most cases, the father or mother is in
prison or has been in prison for crimes like
murder, theft, rape and many other petty
crimes. It takes a released prisoner at
least 2 years to restore and reconcile with
the society. The children are the worst hit.
Society shuts all decent doors to them and
thus they are forced to steal or sell drugs
in the street. If these children are not
cared for, they too will land in a prison
one day and thus the cycle of crime
continues.

Funding: |
|
|
The
society is funded by the sacrificial gifts
of benefactors, mostly non resident Indians.
Some organizations helps us from time to
times. The society is accountable to all of
it's contributors and also all the
respective departments in the State and
Central government in India. A copy of our
audited accounts is sent to our donors
annually.
